Getting Around

We highly recommend checking the weather conditions and road closures before your stay&prior to check out. You will need 4 wheel drive/snow tires/chains in case of snow/ice. There are check points along the way up to the mountains where you will be required to put them on during winter months. We recommend bringing thick gloves to put on the chains.
In case of extreme weather conditions, we recommend you to bring any essentials you may need if you get snowed in and/or experience extended power outages. Having some extra food and water in the car might be a good idea!
In extreme snow conditions, we recommend parking your car at the main road (rim of the world) and walk to the house from there or if you have already parked at the driveway, please be prepared to shovel the snow as needed. You may even choose to reschedule your trip if you prefer. Certain weather conditions are out of our control.
